Welcome to the Dodford First School Website. On behalf of our school family, I extend a warm greeting to you and invite you to explore our website to get a taste of ‘The Dodford Way’. Here, we aspire to give you a glimpse into the unique and special place that Dodford First School is.
The Dodford First School Family
The school was established in 1877, has a long history within the village and continues to make close links to the community to enhance the school curriculum.
We are a ‘small but mighty’ school with a maximum of 75 pupils. Our pupils work together in their mixed aged classes: Wrens, Robins and Owls. We recently welcomed our first pre-school pupils (September 2024) and look forward to seeing our Nursery provision expand further to meet the needs of our community.
At Dodford, what truly sets us apart is ‘The Dodford Way’. This ethos defines how we nurture the whole child both morally and characteristically. Through rich experiences, a loving and supportive environment and a steadfast commitment to well-being, we strive to instil the values: ‘Achieve, Believe, Create and Fly High’.
We encourage you to delve into the heart of our school, we are very proud of our curriculum offer, recently opened wrap around care club ‘The Nest’ and our ever growing extra-curricular opportunities.
