Eco Team
The Eco-team, known as the ‘Green Team’ at Dodford is organised by Miss Stanley and meets every month to discuss ways to care for each other and care for the environment.
Green Flag awarded to Dodford!!
We are so proud to announce that we have achieved our third Green Flag award in a row!
All the children have worked together to increase the sustainability of Dodford First School. The Eco-team, known as the ‘Green Team’ at Dodford are passionate and dedicated members that really do want to make a difference. They immerse themselves in all things Eco-Schools by arranging litter picks within the school grounds; monitoring energy consumption; organising Swap Shop events and much, much more!
The Eco-Schools programme provides a unique opportunity that empowers pupils to lead change within their school and have a positive impact in their wider community. The programme encourages pupils of all ages and abilities to work together to develop their knowledge and environmental awareness.
It is through all the hard work and dedication of the Green Team that we have been awarded our third Green Flag. The work of the Green Team will continue throughout the year and will be extended into classes. Each term, each class will take part in and complete projects that complement our Green Flag status.
